**_âBâ slasher is well made, but one-dimensional and generally dull_** Several college students in SoCal prepare a dorm for renovation, but their efforts are hampered by a mysterious killer. âThe Dorm that Dripped Bloodâ (1982) is a second-tier slasher that only cost $90,000 (which would be about $360,000 today), but itâs surprisingly proficient. The score, for instance, is effective and doesnât sound dated like a lot of âBâ slashers from the 80s. (ClichĂ©d? Yes. Dated? No). With the milieu being limited to the apartment complex (like, say, âRosemaryâs Babyâ), the dramatics have to be entertaining, yet I found the characters relatively boring and the females subpar, although Laurie Lapinski is a decent protagonist. See this only if you need to see every 80âs slasher. The movie runs 1 hour, 24 minutes, and was shot in Westwood, California, which is just west of Beverly Hills in the Los Angeles area.
