Anna Maria âAnkâ van der Moer (1912 â 1983) was a Dutch actress. Considered one of the greatest Dutch actresses of the 20th century, Van der Moer was often called the âQueen of the Leidsepleinâ (the theatre hotspot of Amsterdam). Famous for her stage performances in classic plays like Shakespeareâs Macbeth, Vondelâs Gysbrecht van Amstel, Chekhovâs Three Sisters, Tennessee Williamsâs The Rose Tattoo and both Euripidesâs and Goetheâs version of Iphigneia, she also appeared in several Dutch films.
